lovely morning
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:02:30 AM
M.. i noticed that the XML output is unsorted..
-
M
10/9/2010 6:02:56 AM
...yes, it prolly is unsorted
-
M
10/9/2010 6:03:10 AM
..maybe it's sorted by first->last grab/buy
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:03:46 AM
hmmm possible yes.. if at any moment you could send it alphabetic. would be nice
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:03:52 AM
no hurry though
-
M
10/9/2010 6:03:57 AM
2 mins
-
M
10/9/2010 6:03:58 AM
time me
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:04:36 AM
those 9 lines of code... to grab and handle the xml without asking for a password.. that got to be some of the toughest code i did.. took forever
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:04:46 AM
-
M
10/9/2010 6:05:15 AM
done!
-
M
10/9/2010 6:05:21 AM
should be alphabetical now
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:07:27 AM
i knew you could do it =)
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:07:32 AM
looks good
-
M
10/9/2010 6:07:37 AM
good to hear
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:07:53 AM
now finally the grabbing works i can finish up with the images
-
M
10/9/2010 6:08:15 AM
u fk'n roolz
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:08:29 AM
turns out that there seems. or maybe you know better.. but there seems to be no easy way to not invoke the default xslt template
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:08:49 AM
it is programmed in the dll
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:09:30 AM
and as soon as it hits IE8 or 7 then the lovely xml gets put in all sorts of divs.. took me aages to hammer it back into xml
-
M
10/9/2010 6:09:45 AM
wow...amazing
-
M
10/9/2010 6:10:17 AM
unsure from this point. my xml is still basic, and i still need to get understanding of the xslt format
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:10:57 AM
me too.. lucky i have a friend who is crack on xslt
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:11:37 AM
the real issue is the password etc.. as long as this is an hta it distributes and develops easy.. however it also means it is not wise to grab sensitive information
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:11:59 AM
so i want to be sure that my original does not do anything with passwords or usernames
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:12:19 AM
if that was not the case i could use the much more stable xmlhttp interface
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:12:48 AM
that however demands both username password from you as well as RLC
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:13:10 AM
anyway. .sorted now... it reads it.. hope you tried
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:13:42 AM
something else.. ehmm.. not sure how to say this .. or how it sounds... i hear from clothing designers that sales seem to drop...
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:14:20 AM
this could be due to any reason.. seasonal etc, maybe newer or better designers that pop up...
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:18:10 AM
sorry . got interrupted
-
M
10/9/2010 6:19:16 AM
no, it's ok
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:19:36 AM
so.. my question.. is there some sort of statistics.. or sould it be good to tell ppl how things move
-
M
10/9/2010 6:19:46 AM
we have internal statistics
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:19:53 AM
like finding say graceless.. not easy to find her stuff
-
M
10/9/2010 6:19:55 AM
gague progress of things
as they go
-
M
10/9/2010 6:20:31 AM
before this month, deviant would average beween 3500 and 3800 unique visitors to the site
-
M
10/9/2010 6:20:52 AM
at the beginning of this month, that increased to 4200-4500, and is still climbing
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:21:26 AM
hmmm good to know...
-
M
10/9/2010 6:21:40 AM
sales/grabs have increased as well, most likely from either direct sales (using designer gifting), or new users in UV being referred to us
-
M
10/9/2010 6:21:57 AM
so, i see good numbers walkin' their way through 1 Jan 2011
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:22:42 AM
hmmm ... well i think that ppl like paul and graceless will want to understand why their sales are halved.. should have gone up right...
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:23:11 AM
still i just let you know what lives... and i can only speak for like 5 designers
-
M
10/9/2010 6:23:14 AM
not if new designers take the stage that they once were standing on
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:23:39 AM
* nods * i know. that however needs to get across
-
M
10/9/2010 6:23:52 AM
advertisement is the best gateway to increased sales
-
M
10/9/2010 6:23:59 AM
events, headlining, etc
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:24:07 AM
currently they say: there is less visitors. it sucks.. instead it should be.. there are more visitors.. i suck
-
M
10/9/2010 6:24:24 AM
that's the ying-yang of it all yah
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:26:04 AM
i will tell ehm.. might be good ppl see that.. in abscense of info it is easy to blame the wrong things..
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:26:22 AM
remember the girl i asked you about if she was blocked
-
M
10/9/2010 6:26:30 AM
yup
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:26:36 AM
finally it turned out to be some network issue in her ISP
-
M
10/9/2010 6:26:50 AM
we roolz
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:27:18 AM
as result she wrote a nice bulletin to say that all those ppl who had told her that UVDeviant would ban ppl should really check DNS and ISP cache issues
-
M
10/9/2010 6:27:39 AM
cool beaners
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:27:47 AM
because she was ready to quit RLC and UVD.. all based on hear say
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:28:23 AM
and i know how it goes. i have that with this tool.. currently it is literal two clicks to get a UVD outfit on
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:28:30 AM
that is massive less work
-
M
10/9/2010 6:28:37 AM
totally agreed
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:29:18 AM
this is lady MalevolentBeauty
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:29:20 AM
Peter,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just put my skin, tats, and eyes on every outfit (713) in 5 minutes. This is wonderful!
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:30:08 AM
that said.. i also have one person who will switch dims because I .. I personally destroyed her total outfit list
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:30:13 AM
* nods *
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2010 6:31:03 AM
so whatever webpage or code or tool you make.. seems to always be ppl who blame...
-
M
10/9/2010 6:31:51 AM
yes, always opposition to praise
-
M
10/10/2010 11:47:03 AM
http://www.uvdeviant.com/spsaki's still not able to run it on her lappy
i still have to plug in the error checking for the brower as well
-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 9:30:47 AM
* whispers * are you online by any chance ?
-
M
10/25/2010 9:31:30 AM
yes! just was gonna get ready to get some food. what's goin on?
-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 10:47:36 AM
oops. sorry. was on phone with client
-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 10:47:44 AM

-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 10:48:06 AM
more help. more slick screen.. and better handling
-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 10:48:08 AM
-
peternieropnl
10/25/2010 10:48:41 AM
also default settings can be modified
-
peternieropnl
11/6/2010 6:26:51 PM
* whispers * hmm are you online
-
M
11/8/2010 7:29:45 AM
yes!
-
peternieropnl
11/8/2010 9:09:10 AM
* snorts * =) i had to look a few days back .. how are you
-
peternieropnl
11/8/2010 9:09:56 AM
-
peternieropnl
11/8/2010 9:10:24 AM
i have this.. should be a good version... might be final
-
peternieropnl
11/8/2010 9:11:49 AM
added extensive help.. the reading of UVDeviant is now close to perfect.. background process. Testers seem to love it.. local caching so should be soft on your website too
-
peternieropnl
11/9/2010 7:25:18 PM
* whispers * are you online?
-
M
11/10/2010 1:31:18 AM
-
M
11/10/2010 1:31:20 AM
just woke up
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:31:30 AM
* smiles *

peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:31:40 AM
[___]3
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:32:30 AM
i was wondering.. first i have the latest version
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:32:35 AM
-
M
11/10/2010 1:34:35 AM
mmk, uploaded
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:35:05 AM
=)
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:35:06 AM
thank you
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:35:39 AM
say... how does the new version change things?
-
M
11/10/2010 1:36:01 AM
...new version?
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:36:22 AM
i believe you are working on a new version
-
M
11/10/2010 1:36:34 AM
of the wardrobe page?
-
M
11/10/2010 1:37:02 AM
yeah, started it about a month ago, but i'm delayed about 10 days ago, so i haven't continued working on it
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:37:16 AM
will it change stuff?
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:37:39 AM
i mean how or what will be different that protect ppl better
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:37:43 AM
if i may ask
-
M
11/10/2010 1:37:47 AM
adds sorting through drawers using current structure
-
M
11/10/2010 1:38:20 AM
security will be based upon submission IP address, really
-
M
11/10/2010 1:38:23 AM
that's what were hoping
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:38:46 AM
hmmm well i have something i like you to think about
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:39:16 AM
i can not yet tell exact details.. not a trust issue.. simple i want it to work before i come with it
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:39:46 AM
i think i found a way to "see" what ppl wear
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:40:33 AM
the idea would be as follows... say i have a few accounts that do nothing else but match a person with the codes they have on
-
M
11/10/2010 1:40:35 AM
there's been other methods to see what they wear...
-
M
11/10/2010 1:40:46 AM
protocol capture, memory data-area reading
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:42:09 AM
that is the idea indeed... now the thing is... what if i come with a code.. say uful_123456_345678_987654.png... would it be possible to rule out that it is gifted
-
M
11/10/2010 1:43:26 AM
it would only be by inspecting the room and comparing ID's that one could determine if the owner is actually i the room
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:43:55 AM
i see you also worked out the details ... i been mostly busy with that
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:45:24 AM
the point though next would be to have from you the owner code... so i would love to have a page that if i send such code to. .i get back the Designer and the owner
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:45:58 AM
that way i can then contact the owner with proof that someone has some stolen outfit
-
M
11/10/2010 1:46:36 AM
just a page to breadown the filename into who/who?
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:48:07 AM
between you and me... and this really need to stay that way... i been thinking about what my outfit tool could technical do... when there is a bit of market acceptance we could at least hint who we need to check... if a person contains outfits that do not match up ...
-
M
11/10/2010 1:49:02 AM
sounds like a good idea
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:49:15 AM
i can obvious not be blunt.. and point at the database...
-
M
11/10/2010 1:49:41 AM
we'll have to modify your program to submit deviant textures through our website when the time comes
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:49:48 AM
however i might be able to mask the question from the SP or other page slightly different
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:50:22 AM
when is that going to happen?
-
M
11/10/2010 1:50:58 AM
we don't have a date yet, and it can't happen until i've written the code
-
M
11/10/2010 1:51:08 AM
we're waiting on a plan from UV..
-
M
11/10/2010 1:51:16 AM
wel've been waiting for 10 months...
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:51:20 AM
hmmm well i was about to say
-
M
11/10/2010 1:51:23 AM
we're pushing it for the new year
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:51:57 AM
still it will not solve the issue i think.. might alter it of course
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:53:58 AM
i also fundamental believe it less freedom to mix and match much like real life... would be great if there are some better ways in which to do that.
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:54:36 AM
RLC will probably solve it in the most simple of methods... make some half working closet and close it for others
-
M
11/10/2010 1:55:45 AM
for now, the idea is solid. it's a proactive approach to code-sharing using a mechanism of choice for the user
-
M
11/10/2010 1:56:20 AM
i don't use uthercloset at all, so i'm not sure how sexyone can post an outfit to a users profile and enable her dropdowns...
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:56:39 AM
well i can tell you in detail
-
M
11/10/2010 1:57:08 AM
i'm extremely curious. maybe a packet capture would help after the login to the profile?
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:57:38 AM
* smiles * yes .. hope you can read MS network monitor 3.4
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:57:54 AM
the essense is that they use the same avatar page
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:58:19 AM
so she deletes all outfits...
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:58:24 AM
then recreates it
-
M
11/10/2010 1:59:22 AM
i use wireshare, previously called ethereal
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:59:37 AM
now the page gets saved with a session state... and although i do not have a working code model yet .. i think that session number is all
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:59:45 AM
i know etherreal yes
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 1:59:53 AM
wireshare should be no problem
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:00:33 AM
now i found a few other interesting connections too... they seem to have a translation page or feed.. not sure if you have that too
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:00:57 AM
i have a program that does a brute search in the object folders of RLC
-
M
11/10/2010 2:01:00 AM
the packet capture for one outfit placement procedure should be sufficient
-
M
11/10/2010 2:01:14 AM
i just have the links for 'em..
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:01:38 AM
well i would be interested in a way to translate a gml or file name to the internal name
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:02:17 AM
as said.. i have solved it different... just a lot of work from 250k resources
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:02:37 AM
and each time i scan i find like 2000 new png files with clothes...
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:02:46 AM
amazing.. looks like everyone is making stuff
-
M
11/10/2010 2:03:14 AM
UVD has over 300k textures
-
M
11/10/2010 2:03:26 AM
many ppl creating new every day
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:03:42 AM
anyway.. to make it more productive.. i will get you a wireshark version of UC
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:03:48 AM
i have not many outfits
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:03:51 AM
for that reason
-
M
11/10/2010 2:04:54 AM
that would immensily help
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:05:54 AM
and i will look into a simple mechanism in my program to keep track of what clothes a person has... and create some hidden signal back that we both agree on.. so we could start to make a list of ppl that have UVD clothes that do not match their rights
-
M
11/10/2010 2:06:16 AM
rawk on
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:07:06 AM
well if RLC really wants to stop theft they would have very clear and obvious methods... the fact that they do not do it shows that they do not understand data much
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:08:37 AM
oh and the UC trick is that without the session number the page does a check... the name can not contain a -
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:08:48 AM
and all UC items do have that
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:09:03 AM
the check itself is in the page
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:10:12 AM
so with the save button it activates .. java script to tell that a - is not allowed in the name... as result the page will not save... and reverts back to the current outfit
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:11:10 AM
and UC sends the entire page as post back using xhttp .. since they bypass the check there is no trouble with the name containing -
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:13:02 AM
based on the above observation i could technical make a tool that bypasses the entire protection of UC ... however i dont want to do that... lets rather concentrate on what we can legal do to make more ppl enjoy clothing
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:13:19 AM
dare i ask btw.. how many clients are registered in UVD ?
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:13:51 AM
as in .. what you consider would be the potential and what the realistic market .. in quantity of ppl
-
M
11/10/2010 2:14:23 AM
5k daily, 20k lifetime
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:14:51 AM
so 20k unique ppl
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:15:15 AM
hmmm well if i can reach with this tool about 10%.. would be nice
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:16:10 AM
currently the tool is structured as donationware... as in .. it does hint at rays when a person forgets to save while online
-
M
11/10/2010 2:17:28 AM
"beggarware"
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:20:34 AM
=)
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:20:50 AM
well i can not expect this tool to fetch me a living
-
M
11/10/2010 2:21:06 AM
it just might
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:21:10 AM
that said.. i normal get for software i write a fair bit of money
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:21:48 AM
i just got a contract for a healthcare company.. till now they paid just under 24k euro
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:22:25 AM
and what takes them half an hour of phoning and digging through paperwork is now almost without typing..
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:23:21 AM
using a tiny scanner as input.. everyone till now is wondering why the screen is soo empty.. and that is a bit the trick.. i think.. simplify what might take a lot of work into a few clicks
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:25:49 AM
that said.. if some 1000 ppl give me a few rays.. would be nice.. after my divorce i can use that
-
peternieropnl
11/10/2010 2:42:01 AM
anyway was good chatting

11/18/2010 5:07:56 PM
* whispers * how are things? avatar page seemed to have stopped working this afternoon...
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:09:04 PM
kinda .. how is that for timing.. all things finally bugfree... i did last test with new beta just yesterday... and today it all seems to stop
-
M
11/18/2010 5:09:51 PM
hey! i just woke up
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:09:53 PM
anyway... would be good if we can chat ... i do like to know how it develops further
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:09:56 PM
ooh
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:10:07 PM
well best grab coffee =)
-
M
11/18/2010 5:10:28 PM
i've got more to do
i just returned to the US from asia, so i've gotta setup a desk and stuff
-
M
11/18/2010 5:10:49 PM
seems i've got lots of readin to do. i've got new specs from UV
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:11:05 PM
can you share those?
-
M
11/18/2010 5:11:35 PM
i haven't even gotten that far yet
-
M
11/18/2010 5:12:25 PM
i have to get a phone, a desk, and batteries, so i'm waiting for my ride first. i'm reviewing the administration chat log now
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:13:05 PM
hmm well i can tell that as of today the avatar page will show some default male outfit.. even if you are a female... so putting on codes is not going to work
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:13:56 PM
i tried and till now most of the beta testers i spoke can upload items... and that seems to work just fine
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:14:07 PM
the trouble is reading what the outfit consist of
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:14:31 PM
anyway.. i let you get on with breakfast =)
-
M
11/18/2010 5:14:32 PM
okay, so UV edit avatar page is just less functional?
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:14:49 PM
well it takes a chunk out of my tool..
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:15:13 PM
if reading is impossible then clearly there is little point to apply say .. a clothing leg
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:15:46 PM
as in most of my testers are female.. no point in going to page 28.. grabing the codes and putting them on the default greenie avatar
-
M
11/18/2010 5:16:04 PM
okay. i need to re-setup my stuff here, so all i can say is to give me 24 hours to reassess what i have here
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:16:21 PM
no worry.. i just wanted to hear what you knew...
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:16:33 PM
and lets hope RLC will reopen that avatar page...
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:16:53 PM
in the mean time i will be looking at ways around the avatar page
-
M
11/18/2010 5:16:59 PM
mmk, cool
-
peternieropnl
11/18/2010 5:17:06 PM
enjoy =)
-
M
11/18/2010 5:17:07 PM
i hope to have more info for you in 24 hours
-
peternieropnl
11/24/2010 3:57:35 AM
* whispers * how are things going?
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:28:42 PM
* waves *
-
M
11/27/2010 8:30:03 PM
heya pete! how's it goin?
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:34:26 PM
its going =)
-
M
11/27/2010 8:34:37 PM
same here. same here
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:34:38 PM
say i thought i best touch base.. hear how you are doing
-
M
11/27/2010 8:34:56 PM
today we finally are able to decode both "versions" of the avatar information
-
M
11/27/2010 8:35:20 PM
and internally we have a 80% grasp with 1:1 converting old to new
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:35:27 PM
and maybe also suggest.. do write some bulletin.. lets hear of UVD.. ppl in RLC are kinda restless...
-
M
11/27/2010 8:35:48 PM
yah, we knows. we got our forum whores on the scene daily
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:35:57 PM
* shrugs *
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:36:04 PM
well not everyone understand how and what goes on
-
M
11/27/2010 8:36:09 PM
development and administration now are just a pain. most of the site needs rework
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:36:15 PM
and there is never something as too much info
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:36:25 PM
* nods *
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:36:46 PM
tell me where i fit in... or is it a case of lost opportunity
-
M
11/27/2010 8:40:30 PM
right now, i don't think it's a case of lost opportunity
-
M
11/27/2010 8:41:00 PM
right now, we're trying to convert to the new system as fast as possible, including migrating almost 2 million outfits as best as we can =/
-
M
11/27/2010 8:41:30 PM
UV isn't real quick on the responses to us, so we do lots of trail-and-error to get the results. the old-to-new conversion we've had to do b/c they don't provide us that
-
M
11/27/2010 8:43:34 PM
i can give you this to look at:
http://api.utherverse.com/schema/data/member/LegacyAvatar.xsdhttp://api.utherverse.com/schema/data/member/Avatar.xsdthese are both the XML schemas for the old and new avatars. cut and dry, they are obsoleting the old ones for the new ones. new avatars can have upwards to 256 textures on their torsos or legs, and they have specific locations of the layers for specific "slots"
-
M
11/27/2010 8:44:16 PM
you cannot provide that schema to anyone else, just so you know
-
M
11/27/2010 8:44:49 PM
strictly internal information, and you get privy to it as UVD developmental contractor
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:46:53 PM
thank you
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:47:21 PM
still my question.. where i fit in the new thing.. i understand that you will be making some editor of your own
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:48:19 PM
so the question comes... is what i wrote, tested and put a lot of hours in .. is that still valid or is that a lost opportunity
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:50:14 PM
i been programmer good part of my life.. so i know sometimes the game is up... it feels like that at the moment.. as in.. i need to figure out if we somehow can make things work together.. or if it is time to contact UV direct... and venture to become something in between.. or maybe move on to SL... or something else
-
M
11/27/2010 8:51:14 PM
there's a couple options, but down to brass tacks, all the code relating to the UV edit avatar page will basically be obsoleted
-
M
11/27/2010 8:51:48 PM
we shut down UVD because we were passed word from UV that they are obsoleting that page in light of this XML->server sync
-
M
11/27/2010 8:53:30 PM
the choice is entirely up to you on how to proceed. we have to create a closet system ourselves to allow users to sync with us now, but that doesn't mean that we can't endorse a client software (such as you've created) for offline usage
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:54:48 PM
hmm well there is a couple of things no doubt.. firstly .. as you might know.. the avatar page works again
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:55:00 PM
not for the new stuff.. but for the old
-
M
11/27/2010 8:55:08 PM
yes, i heard that earlier today in fact
-
M
11/27/2010 8:55:17 PM
about 15 hours ago, but i heard it's been up for longer
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:55:41 PM
so to me it tells that RLC is buckling under pressure
-
M
11/27/2010 8:56:14 PM
they are waiting for UC and Us to conform to the new format. they buckled cause UC and us are not ready..
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:56:30 PM
one obvious point is what i already seen in many many bulletins.. large clothing designers that offer to make a list of all their clients to avoid mass payback
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:56:56 PM
yes. but clearly that is the wrong way to do it right..
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:57:30 PM
as in. first they should talk to you both . before dropping several thousand clients.. i cancelled my account.. and i am not the only one...
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 8:57:38 PM
well more precise.. i stopped paying
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:00:23 PM
second i will just for the fun of things go to everyone that i have legal codes from.. and demand retribution... that includes UC and UVD items.. simply because i feel that even if an outfit is like 100 rays.. i own it.. legal.. and me not being able to use it as i see fit is just not something i take without making trouble.. now to be sure.. that is not your problem, nor your fault.. i think RLC should first make sure everyone is on board to support it. .before test pulling the plug to see how everyone likes it in the dark
-
M
11/27/2010 9:01:15 PM
we understand that point too
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:02:42 PM
humans have this wonderful trouble... in tests it shows that ppl will be massive upset if someone takes 50 dollar half the time.. yet very few would bother about paying 50 bucks to win 100 dollar half the time
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:03:06 PM
yet in principle it is the same... we hence rather not loose than miss an opportunity to gain
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:03:34 PM
so for many whatever the new avatar brings is peanuts in comparison to what they loose
-
M
11/27/2010 9:05:54 PM
UV keeps us out of the loop until the last minute. This is the second time we've had to shut down the site because of last-minute "huge" modifications. It's typical of them, even after a year.
-
M
11/27/2010 9:06:20 PM
The stress is amazing, such in fact that i've already got a wrist brace for my non-dominant hand due to the amount of typing
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:06:44 PM
* pats on back *
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:06:48 PM
yep.. i understand the stress
-
M
11/27/2010 9:08:21 PM
lol, i knows you do
-
M
11/27/2010 9:08:25 PM
brb, real quick
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:09:12 PM
trouble is arrogance of RLC... in holland one of the benefits is that ppl say what they say and mean what they say too.. i found that RLC has this very english type of attitude.. say one thing to look good in the press. mean something very different
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:13:29 PM
anyway thanks for the xml files.. i will have to see if i can hack the rest from UC
-
M
11/27/2010 9:15:09 PM
oh, another quick thing concerning UC
-
M
11/27/2010 9:15:24 PM
we haven't seen any limitation to synching an outfit containing UC textures...
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:15:47 PM
well i would be suprized if it did
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:16:27 PM
the protection of UC is based on the - in the name
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:17:28 PM
so i think the website will not have that.. as in you are not using the avatar page
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:20:36 PM
what server is used for syncing?
-
M
11/27/2010 9:21:44 PM
right now, it's api.utherverse.com, but the soap message currently has an authenticator that's tied to our server now
-
M
11/27/2010 9:22:02 PM
UC still uses the edit avatar page, and from our peeps it seems sexyone has gone MIA for 3 weeks
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:22:05 PM
soap.. that is going to take ages
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:22:48 PM
well that is not strange.. she collapsed last time
-
M
11/27/2010 9:23:37 PM
we like the competition
keeps the fingers pointed away from us 50% of the time
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:23:49 PM
* smiles *
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:24:54 PM
did you hear brian in the interview he gave a week or so back
-
M
11/27/2010 9:25:20 PM
nope, got a link?
-
peternieropnl
11/27/2010 9:26:59 PM

-

11/27/2010 9:28:44 PM
wow, 85mb
-
peternieropnl
12/1/2010 10:59:35 AM
* whispers * how is it going?
-
peternieropnl
12/1/2010 10:59:47 AM
any ETA for the site going back online?
-
M
12/1/2010 11:03:48 AM
still a couple days
-
peternieropnl
12/1/2010 11:04:19 AM
ok... need a beta tester?
-
M
12/1/2010 11:05:04 AM
still in styling and compiling things together, but you are on the guaranteed list to test before release
-
M
12/10/2010 4:18:08 AM
Heya pete! We've had requests for an offline client for creating and/or administrating items for the catalogue. I was wondering if you'd like to help streamline this for us?
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:46:25 AM
sounds cool
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:46:37 AM
any more info?
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:47:08 AM
ooh lol.. sorry this message was from earlier... i just saw it pop up
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:48:59 AM
still yes.. do let me know... we could pull the UVD part from the outfit tool.. clean it up etc... one advantage i think the part has over the web version is that purchases only cost bandwidth one time... not like the current setup where each time they browse they get to have the example picture
-
M
12/10/2010 7:56:15 AM
welcome back online!
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:58:40 AM

grabbed a coffee
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 7:59:07 AM
so lets hear.. what should it do.. what it tries to accomplish
-
M
12/10/2010 8:00:58 AM
good idea!
-
M
12/10/2010 8:01:05 AM
gimmie 5 mins to get coffee
-
M
12/10/2010 8:04:48 AM
okay, i'm here! you there?
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 8:04:54 AM
yep
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 8:05:05 AM
voice good?
-
M
12/10/2010 8:05:26 AM
yah, lets do this
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 8:14:00 AM
-
peternieropnl
12/10/2010 8:16:37 AM
fn = sh.SpecialFolders("MyDocuments")

set fl = fso.GetFolder(fn & "\..\Pictures\Utherverse")
USCFolder = fl.Path
end if
if not fso.FolderExists(USCFolder) then
msgbox "Tell SifuPeter that somehow i can not find the folder used by USC to put screenshots in" : err.Clear
end if

-
M
12/31/2010 1:34:00 PM
happy new year to you too! when it hits, of course
-
peternieropnl
12/31/2010 1:35:05 PM
* smiles * well i best be early... =)
-
M
12/31/2010 1:42:11 PM
you only got a bit over 4 hours now...got the alcohol ready?
-
peternieropnl
12/31/2010 1:43:01 PM
* nods * i did buy some pleasant red wine... champagne is custom .. however i am more into reds
-
M
12/31/2010 1:45:00 PM
good choice...good for the blood
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:30:05 PM
* whispers * quick question =)
-
M
1/2/2011 6:31:22 PM
sure, whats up?
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:31:26 PM
this name... seems accepted...

-
M
1/2/2011 6:31:46 PM
looks right
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:31:54 PM
my code does not like it .. because only UC items on the avatar page can have - in it
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:32:15 PM
the avatar page does not accept -
-
M
1/2/2011 6:32:35 PM
hmm...but that's uploaded somehow?
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:33:00 PM
yes... the lady who made that texture is also beta tester
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:33:22 PM
as long as she does not change it the page accepts it
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:33:40 PM
however any update and it comes back with "invalid file name something"
-
M
1/2/2011 6:33:51 PM
hmmm
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:33:56 PM
and i know it is the protection used by UC
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:34:18 PM
UC- is the way they avoid the clothes from being copied
-
M
1/2/2011 6:34:55 PM
yup, i remember
-
M
1/2/2011 6:34:58 PM
i'll have to look into it
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:35:04 PM
good =)
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:35:25 PM
because i can fix the display part.. however i then run into trouble with updates...
-
peternieropnl
1/2/2011 6:35:47 PM
btw busy with youtube videos on how to use the outfit tool
-
M
1/2/2011 6:37:08 PM
nice!
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 10:57:35 AM
* whispers * hmm say this Start in cmd... to run the outfit tools... this at least means the registry is ok.. yet that somehow either Norton or any other setting disallows the startup of an internet.explorer object. Would it be good to check if there is something like that setting?
-
M
1/5/2011 10:58:51 AM
i would think norton would be the culprit. she's not an admin to her laptop, so norton might prevent a program from launching an IE object
-
M
1/5/2011 10:59:13 AM
she's got AVG AV, i'm not sure where norton came from. prolly from the standard programs installed when she bought it
-
M
1/5/2011 10:59:25 AM
i think it's a free program from symantec
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 10:59:30 AM
did she have Norton on the previous?
-
M
1/5/2011 10:59:46 AM
nopers
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 10:59:48 AM
i tested it as non admin user.. works fine
-
M
1/5/2011 11:00:23 AM
.....i'd place it on internet security programs
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 11:01:27 AM
what is curious is that from the about 70 ppl i know their name of. non but Saki had this issue.. and it persists in her new hardware
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 11:01:44 AM
so maybe it is some localized setting..
-
M
1/5/2011 11:02:04 AM
if it was localized, it wouldn't run at all =/
-
M
1/5/2011 11:02:37 AM
only thing i can think is that it's user permission based, most likely either some security policy set by windows or a 3rd party application
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 11:04:47 AM
i wil try again.. i increased the UAC setting .. she has that on 3
-
peternieropnl
1/5/2011 11:04:56 AM
back later after reboot
-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:32:07 PM
* whispers * how are you =) i noticed site was under maintenance
-
M
1/8/2011 10:32:36 PM
yah, things got backed up...should be current now...
-
M
1/8/2011 10:32:44 PM

-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:33:02 PM
you best do.. =)
-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:33:10 PM
i made btw a mini version of the outfit tool
-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:33:34 PM
its like much more compact than the avatar page.. and directly gets stuff from UVD. .
-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:33:57 PM
no database. .no backup.. no sorting.. no fast copy paste.. just 5 buttons
-
M
1/8/2011 10:34:06 PM
sounds pretty quick

-
peternieropnl
1/8/2011 10:36:00 PM
hmm ok.. so should i interface with this page 45?
-
M
1/8/2011 10:36:28 PM
give it a peek through, load a new avi and see what you get. i can make the backend if you want as well. just wanted to give you an idea

1/22/2011 9:19:24 PM
* whispers * evening M.. how are you
-
peternieropnl
1/22/2011 11:34:53 PM
btw... the UVDeviant website.. the authentication. is that forms based? or would it be possible to use xhttp with username password to log in
-
peternieropnl
1/23/2011 10:30:02 PM
M.. how are you doing... we seem to have stopped communication... is that just general being busy? are we disenchanted? is there anything else?
-
M
1/24/2011 12:35:33 PM
heya peter! i had pulled my lower back last week and have been in bed since then. things are getting better so far with it, but it spasms like hell
- the authentication is forms based, but there is javascript that submits the users timezone as well.
- i could write a backend authenticator like you've asked, but for secuirty purposes i'd limit the quantity of login attempts to prevent someone from brute-force accessing other accounts
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 4:51:12 AM
* nods * thanks .. hmm yes i been looking at that indeed..
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 4:51:36 AM
my point was to use the SP/outfits page . the xml. with a xmlhttp in one call
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 4:51:55 AM
it would simplify the issues i receive with users
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 4:52:26 AM
most have trouble that the IE i use as programmable background to read the outfits is caught by the IE version checker
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:30:55 PM
i hope you feel better.. i had a few days of agony... some cement like bowl... i spare you the gross details..
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:31:44 PM
how is thing going with the new closet?
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:36:13 PM
btw hmmm.. how many community items exist in UVD.. i was asked by a client who wondered what to do with those.. like realskins .. they do not contain a grab option...
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:36:42 PM
one way to deal with it would be to either directly include them in the xml .. or to look them up and use them as defaults
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:37:11 PM
btw.. i have my website now..
http://SifuPeterTools.com
-
peternieropnl
1/27/2011 5:37:36 PM
i like to hear what you want as advertisement on that site... already 800 loads.. just a week in the air
-
peternieropnl
1/31/2011 5:25:03 AM
* whispers * how are you.. how are things going?
-
peternieropnl
1/31/2011 5:25:48 AM
got version 0.58 of the UVD tool.. starts to look smooth and works well i think.. loads of changes in RLCs avatar pages last few days.. was not easy to keep up
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:02:32 AM
whispers Morning M, how are you
-
M
2/12/2011 6:03:23 AM
morning pete!
-
M
2/12/2011 6:03:53 AM
how is your winter going?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:03:56 AM
how is your week =) loads of changes i take it
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:04:02 AM
well my winter is good
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:04:07 AM
rainy and cold at the moment
-
M
2/12/2011 6:04:17 AM
N is on vacation, so i have had real busy week doing her and my job (more hers than mine)
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:04:24 AM
=)
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:04:39 AM
yes she told me she would be at her parents to celebrate chinese new year
-
M
2/12/2011 6:05:06 AM
yah, for a couple weeks
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:06:28 AM
how you see the future in say half a year?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:06:42 AM
oh before i forget
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:06:54 AM
hmm there is like community skins etc
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:07:01 AM
those can not be gifted.. so ppl can not make them their own
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:07:31 AM
as result they will not show up in the personal list
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:07:54 AM
one way to handle those would be to preload the UVD tool with those
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:08:20 AM
another would be to extend the personal clothes items list xml file with those community items
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:08:30 AM
no doubt there are other solutions
-
M
2/12/2011 6:08:38 AM
yah, community skins are availiable for grab. i think grab cannot be gifted
-
M
2/12/2011 6:09:00 AM
and i can add community to the XML as well. hmm
-
M
2/12/2011 6:09:10 AM
maybe at bottom?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:09:16 AM
that would be great
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:09:23 AM
thank you.. a number of ppl asked for it
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:09:29 AM
seems that they enjoy the current version of UVD
-
M
2/12/2011 6:09:45 AM
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:09:45 AM
i no longer have bug reports
-
M
2/12/2011 6:09:48 AM
good job
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:09:55 AM
might turn it in the first release
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:10:01 AM
did you see the latest version?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:10:13 AM
it has like filtering based on slot
-
M
2/12/2011 6:10:14 AM
no, i did not
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:10:51 AM
as well as a more compact avatar screen
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:11:25 AM
a notes screen.. where ppl can put codes of items they had or have which might not be on UVD
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:12:03 AM
and i implemented the outfit type cloth... the security is soo flimsy that at first try i was able to copy clothes across
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:12:09 AM
so i had to adjust it
-
M
2/12/2011 6:13:49 AM
security is very good
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:00 AM
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:02 AM
of the RLC??
-
M
2/12/2011 6:14:14 AM
of us
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:16 AM
the UVCloset??
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:17 AM
ooh
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:25 AM
yeah.. no complaining there
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:30 AM
=)
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:14:47 AM
i was talking about the UVC stuff... flimsy really. .
-
M
2/12/2011 6:15:15 AM
oh...really?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:16:08 AM
yes as said.. on first try of version 0.57a i had to disable it .. did not have any trouble copying codes
-
M
2/12/2011 6:17:49 AM
wow
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:17:51 AM
i may hope they make it a little more robust
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:17:58 AM
i like to stay on the good side
-
M
2/12/2011 6:18:08 AM
i like you to be on good side
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:19:09 AM
i took long ago a decision to be honest unless i can make 2 million.. then i at least allow myself to think about it
-
M
2/12/2011 6:19:22 AM
hahahahahaa
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:19:36 AM
i am no saint...
-
M
2/12/2011 6:19:45 AM
99.9998% of the world is no saint
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:20:06 AM
that said my son was the only kid in the class with legal windows 7 , legal office and all original game software
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:20:21 AM
i find it illogical to expect other ppl to pay me for my software if at the same time i run or have stuff in the house that is counterfit
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:21:05 AM
anyway that is not the point i guess.. hmm i have at the moment about 1000 downloads from the UVD tool
-
M
2/12/2011 6:21:19 AM
yup, we see it's talked about in forum
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:22:00 AM
and when Murasaki comes back it would be lovely to put something in both your as well as my website that at least formal acknowledges each others support
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:22:11 AM
i try and i believe many of the beta testers at the moment think so.. i believe my tool makes UVD easier to use
-
M
2/12/2011 6:23:04 AM
i was thinkin' of giving you a menu spot under the "UVTStyle Catalogue" image
-
M
2/12/2011 6:23:13 AM
open in new window right to your site
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:23:46 AM
that would be lovely
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:23:56 AM
i added a upgrade button
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:24:15 AM
it prevents the most difficult step .. the local download and unblocking
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:24:38 AM
about 1 in 5 has trouble with it.. mostly because where they download they make a link onto the desktop
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:24:48 AM
the desktop link does not have blocking
-
M
2/12/2011 6:25:01 AM
ahhhh! interesting!
-
M
2/12/2011 6:25:09 AM
i can make you an installer
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:25:36 AM
well that would be even better.. i might also do that with future versions
-
M
2/12/2011 6:25:48 AM
in old days, i would use WinRar's self-executing extractor as an Installer. was quite ok
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:26:03 AM
something else.. hmm.. it would be great if we could grab the xml file using xmlhttp
-
M
2/12/2011 6:26:15 AM
...that's a development thing lol
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:26:28 AM
that is not possible at the moment because the site and that page is only form based security
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:27:00 AM
now i could hijack the cookie and see if that makes it go... simply because of default xml template issues
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:27:21 AM
there is no way i can alter the internet explorer default built in xml template
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:27:49 AM
and some have hence this + and - type trees.. which then need change
-
M
2/12/2011 6:27:53 AM
mmhmm
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:28:12 AM
as well as a decode of things like & into & etc
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:28:39 AM
now in windows 7 that does seem to be no issue..
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:28:57 AM
i get it nice.. however some clients had a fair bit of trouble being able to read the xml file
-
M
2/12/2011 6:29:27 AM
making the & to & is required for valid xml
-
M
2/12/2011 6:29:34 AM
microsoft and /their/ rules ..... pfft
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:30:28 AM
yes i know
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:30:50 AM
so the trouble is that i use
http://www.uvdeviant.com/sp
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:31:00 AM
which then comes back with an xml type file
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:31:19 AM
how that is displayed depends on the default built in template
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:31:27 AM
if a person is lucky it will not format it..
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:31:56 AM
if it displays "nice" in the explorer.. it willl be helll for my progr
-
M
2/12/2011 6:31:58 AM
should i change the app on that page?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:32:40 AM
hmmm ideal i would enjoy if that page could be xmlhttp based.. so if i grab the password and username .. validate with the setup of the xmlhttp get
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:32:46 AM
however
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:32:49 AM
at the moment it works
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:32:53 AM
it is not fast code
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:32:57 AM
and for now it works fine
-
M
2/12/2011 6:33:08 AM
okies
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:33:17 AM
i know Queen Sens has like over 1000 outfits..
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:33:27 AM
she get her updates in about a few seconds
-
M
2/12/2011 6:33:28 AM
your best tester
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:33:40 AM
yes she is very dedicated i am pleased to say
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:34:23 AM
anyway.. if you could pull those community clothes.. would be lovely
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:34:27 AM
or
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:34:52 AM
if that be a lot of work.. let me hear. i see if i can dig them and include in the download
-
M
2/12/2011 6:34:57 AM
nono, i'll add them to the base of the XML for everyone's download
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:35:03 AM
excellent
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:35:08 AM
thanks in advance
-
M
2/12/2011 6:35:21 AM
that's all i have from you for mods on my side here...was there anything else to add/modify/change?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:35:50 AM
that is all indeed... if the xmlhttp road is possible i like to try .. however at the moment it works.. soo..
-
M
2/12/2011 6:36:20 AM
-
M
2/12/2011 6:36:30 AM
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:36:38 AM
lets earn some money together.. you with hopeful more sales
-
M
2/12/2011 6:36:41 AM
good job my friend
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:36:46 AM
i hope with more downloads
-
M
2/12/2011 6:36:47 AM
i'm not worried about the money
-
M
2/12/2011 6:37:00 AM
i'm focused more on the customers...they bring in the money
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:37:21 AM
well i am from my side =) i spend a fair bit of time.. and do hope it somehow gets rewarded
-
M
2/12/2011 6:38:10 AM
me too, especially since it's been so long
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:38:22 AM
hmm well it contained a fair bit of major obstacles
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:38:32 AM
and just last week RLC changed my bulletin viewer
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:39:15 AM
i mean what programmer does change the color of a button.. the name of a field and leaves the rest of the program as shitty as it has been the last half year
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:39:54 AM
the reason ppl enjoy my bulletin viewer is that it sorts.. it does things like single click delete etc
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:40:48 AM
odd is it not.. to have such essential communication method as bulletins written by someone who believes the best way to delete a bulletin requires no less than 3 mouse clicks and two mouse moves...
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:41:05 AM
clearly that programmer gets like 2 bulletins
-
M
2/12/2011 6:41:51 AM
o.O!
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:44:18 AM
anyway . do have a lovely day...
-
M
2/12/2011 6:44:53 AM
i will pete, you do too and i'll make changes as soon as i can
-
M
2/12/2011 6:45:02 AM
your ppl will see it on their next download
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 6:45:11 AM
cool =)
-
M
2/12/2011 9:35:30 AM
Just added the skins to the XML output now

-

2/12/2011 9:37:03 AM
mmk cool
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:37:09 AM
not sure about the male images...
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:37:14 AM
looks rather booby to me =)
-
M
2/12/2011 9:37:21 AM
there is no male skins offerred...
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:37:23 AM
however that is probably
-
M
2/12/2011 9:37:27 AM
and there's one security thing i'll have to fix
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:37:31 AM
hmm curious. i can see two
-
M
2/12/2011 9:37:35 AM
.........really?
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:38:54 AM

-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 9:39:10 AM

2/12/2011 11:18:33 AM
mmk, and just to give you a heads up, if a user is not VIP in Utherverse they will not be able to download
http://www.uvdeviant.com/sp/outfit/
-
M
2/12/2011 11:18:37 AM
that was sorta a security bug
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 11:22:19 AM
hmm no worry.. i do not want them to download the UVD tool
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 11:22:24 AM
oh btw .. might want to put the latest at that page
-
peternieropnl
2/12/2011 11:22:38 AM
-
M
2/12/2011 11:40:19 AM
oh! i'm ready
-
peternieropnl
2/21/2011 11:13:44 AM
* whispers * how are you
-
M
2/21/2011 11:15:19 AM
PETE!
-
peternieropnl
2/21/2011 11:15:19 AM
say . i have here a tester online called Murasaki.. the call to
http://www.uvdeviant.com/sp/outfit/ gives her only this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <outfits>
<outfit />
</outfits>
-
M
2/21/2011 11:15:32 AM
she prolly not VIP

peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:23:58 PM
still there.. question popped up
-
M
6/25/2011 10:24:11 PM
sure
-
M
6/25/2011 10:24:16 PM
for the next 10 hours
-
M
6/25/2011 10:24:21 PM
lulz...lots of work here, go fig
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:24:26 PM
i take it you do check on if the user owns the texture correct?
-
M
6/25/2011 10:24:32 PM
yes
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:24:47 PM
ok.. was in my mind running though the steps..
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:25:17 PM
is that owned texture is that linked to the gml?
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:25:21 PM
or just to the user
-
M
6/25/2011 10:25:22 PM
for people that have done outside sales they will have the ability to "claim" that as well
-
M
6/25/2011 10:25:30 PM
just the user
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:25:40 PM
good
-
M
6/25/2011 10:25:54 PM
for "master codes", or original filenames, we can validate whether they did purchase it through our website and provide them with that as well
-
M
6/25/2011 10:26:25 PM
so virtually, all data that your program will acquire through us will be 100% okay as far as user rights go
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:27:04 PM
thinking outside the box... what would happen if we store all info from all users..
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:27:13 PM
would that be nice info to have?
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:27:32 PM
and i quickly add.. i do not know the legality of that.. however just in theory...
-
M
6/25/2011 10:28:05 PM
well, technically we can store all users closets on the website but we've decided not to because it would provide two "closets", when a central closet exists on utherverse's website
-
M
6/25/2011 10:28:42 PM
your storage is, in fact, a much better option since it's typically required for users to access their information much faster instead of waiting for refreshes and searches, etc
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:28:49 PM
i was like thinking of a cleanup point of view
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:29:09 PM
say we have hmmm 80% of those 32k users
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:29:29 PM
from that we could technical see if they use something that has been purchased or gifted
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:29:40 PM
i have like items gifted to me i would not want to be caught wearing
-
M
6/25/2011 10:30:34 PM
true, i suppose
-
M
6/25/2011 10:30:40 PM
i don't think i'm completely following the concept
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:31:28 PM
well i thought instead of having all the clothes ever put on sale... might be useful to only store all clothes ever worn
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:32:28 PM
i know for a fact that some have many hundreds of outfits from UVD... yet they only might from one outfit use the shoes.. another outfit only the skirt etc
-
peternieropnl
6/25/2011 10:32:55 PM
anyway.. its not that important at the moment.. was just playing with the question .. would it be useful
-
M
6/25/2011 10:33:13 PM
i can't seem to find use for it
-
M
6/25/2011 10:33:19 PM
at least, not at the moment
-
peternieropnl
6/28/2011 9:35:47 PM
* whispers * say.. hmm some people have multiple accounts... do such accounts get treated as individual accounts? Do they share clothes?
-
M
6/29/2011 7:02:40 AM
one UVD login will be good for one Utherverse login
-
M
6/29/2011 7:02:42 AM
i'll update the sheet
-
peternieropnl
6/29/2011 3:55:34 PM
hmmm seems i have a little issue. The IE browser control that is inside the executable is incorrect recognized as IE 7 instead of 9
-
M
6/29/2011 3:56:11 PM
when accessing UVDeviants site
-
peternieropnl
6/29/2011 3:56:44 PM
there are serveral ways to solve this... my preference would be to have a separate website like thing... possible using xmlhttp security and no check on the explorer
-
peternieropnl
6/29/2011 3:56:53 PM
can i call?
-
M
6/29/2011 3:57:04 PM

peternieropnl

=) no worry
-
peternieropnl
7/1/2011 9:58:57 AM
i added some improvements... as in detection of only new items. That way we prevent people with 700 outfits to run this tool repeated
-
M
7/1/2011 9:59:20 AM
coooool beaners
-
peternieropnl
7/1/2011 10:26:22 AM
oh btw... are you sure you expect the profile user name... like in my case: SifuPeter.... what happens if i rename myself?
-
M
7/1/2011 10:26:52 AM
we should see the change on our end, too
-
peternieropnl
7/1/2011 10:28:28 AM
yes... now i safe the xml file i have both the MemberID (which is fixed) and the current username, to prevent some queens (who seem to only have rays to change their name twice a day) from mixing up
-
M
7/1/2011 10:29:20 AM
lulz
-
M
7/1/2011 11:36:44 AM
just basic authentication setup so far:
http://www.uvdeviant.com/sp/convert.phpusername and password /now/ is anything, assuming that username=password and length(username)>4 characters
-
M
7/1/2011 11:37:23 AM
I might move it to /sp/convert/, but for now it's there

-
M
7/1/2011 12:03:53 PM

I had to backtrack a bit with the authentication and review it. We might not need to pass any authentication since users that access the download will already be logged into UVDeviant and might still have the cookie for logging into utherverse.
-
M
7/13/2011 10:52:05 AM

7/16/2011 6:38:37 PM

http://www.uvdeviant.com/3d.html
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:39:04 PM
obj files are great way

peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:39:07 PM
* nods *
-
M
7/16/2011 6:39:31 PM
it's basically where people can try on texture and "rotate" 'em around for alternative catalogue display
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:39:34 PM
trouble is that it only will look good with the new models
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:39:37 PM
* nods *
-
M
7/16/2011 6:39:42 PM
it should look good with all of 'em
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:42:54 PM
it could be a nice way to expand the business
-
M
7/16/2011 6:43:23 PM
yes yes, we'll find out in the next 6 hours
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:43:35 PM
oO.. how so
-
peternieropnl
7/16/2011 6:47:40 PM
what happens in that time?
-
M
7/16/2011 7:11:22 PM
i'm writin' it now

peternieropnl
7/16/2011 7:23:47 PM

M
7/16/2011 8:14:09 PM
it's the hoodie model
-
M
7/17/2011 2:52:04 PM
any progress with the converter my friend?
-
peternieropnl
7/18/2011 3:30:21 PM
* waves * First big account to sort ( which tests the read, write, compare and delete of outfits ) went without trouble. Seems that this new type of objects work well and much much faster
-
peternieropnl
7/18/2011 3:31:08 PM
I have most of the communication sorted. The search at the moment is to create a silverlight application that does parts of what i have done till now.
-
peternieropnl
7/18/2011 3:33:16 PM
the requirement to use an other window browser makes it a bit complex. Besided... the first app i wrote with the click once... seems that norton does not allow that. So hence the move to silverlight. This has a few repercusions to what i am able to do at the client pc. Like i no longer can write in the documents folder. So i am trying to find an alternative for that.
-
peternieropnl
7/18/2011 3:34:32 PM
Bottom line.. think all the components that we need in the conversion tool are done... just that the correct mix of easy install, elegant operation and avoidance of virus checkers and default browsers... that is still a few days testing
-
peternieropnl
7/24/2011 3:50:10 PM
UMCL_92793184_93748745_549758.png
-
peternieropnl
7/26/2011 4:01:22 PM
* waves * say.. hmmm would it be useful to have a run=Masterclaim besides the run=Convert... if i invoke the convert then the outfits do get changed from generated codes into mastercodes.
-
peternieropnl
7/26/2011 4:01:54 PM
Alternatively... i can simply do what happens now: push the mastercodes into the manual claim box
-
M
7/26/2011 7:13:21 PM
I'm modifying the convert.php file to be in 2 "programmatic" phases. It's basically an internal variable i'll set when we change this.
Phase 1 will not modify any users profile information, and will put into Masterclaim what we've detected should be there. Your programs output will help much with anything I miss
Phase 2 will modify users information when the program is run, and will still place items into masterclaim (etc etc)
-
M
7/26/2011 7:16:24 PM
also, i've changed the result from convert.php to simply be:
<Success>OK</Success>
Instead of the full UV envelope since their authentication change will change the result of that. I'm not currently sure what it will be, so i'm just dummying it down to a simple XML response
-
peternieropnl
7/27/2011 1:07:28 AM
ok.. so i understand i still will call the same command . Beware that the MasterClaim hta does NOT store the outfits and hence also not remove the old.
-
peternieropnl
7/31/2011 11:05:23 PM
* whispers * hi there M.. good to see you online again. I head you travelled. so... this latest version... what needs to happen more
-
peternieropnl
7/31/2011 11:05:33 PM
or should we call it a wrap
-
M
7/31/2011 11:25:14 PM
heya pete! yah, i travelled, but i haven't settled yet. currently at a friends house until i can get things started.
-
M
7/31/2011 11:26:03 PM
from what i gather, we haven't had sufficient full testing with the group yet, so what the gameplan is so far is to have the next 2-3 days of testing and cleanup, and hopefully a thursday completion with a friday release
-
peternieropnl
7/31/2011 11:39:51 PM
okdokie
-
peternieropnl
8/6/2011 1:47:56 AM
* waves enthousiastic * hmm please put the uid of each outfit in the outfit list of the
http://www.uvdeviant.com/sp/outfit/index.php page
-
M
8/6/2011 1:48:28 AM
cool, thx
-
peternieropnl
8/6/2011 1:50:41 AM
and.. if possible.. is there info on what folder an outfit is in
-
peternieropnl
8/6/2011 1:51:36 AM
the latest is really not that important.. however if the folder method seems easy to implement on the standalone.. could be useful to have some interaction
-
peternieropnl
8/14/2011 5:49:58 PM
actual.. if i may ask in private... are we still going to replace somewhere in the future all mastercodes with new generic codes? or what is the current status on that
-
peternieropnl
8/14/2011 5:50:39 PM
and i did not mean generated .. as in unique.. i ment like mastercode however different from the existing to kick current thiefs in the groin
-
M
8/14/2011 5:51:25 PM
unsure about the final decision on that yet. we've been pressed into redoing the authentication with utherverse. they just sent down code friday, and i've been hammering that as well as working on
http://www.uvdeviant.com/?page=36
-
M
8/14/2011 5:51:46 PM
and debugging and preparing all the other code to obsolete the creation of generated codes for the changeover
-
M
8/14/2011 5:51:58 PM
so, the decision and scheduling is up to N, it's just i haven't been informed of it
-
peternieropnl
8/14/2011 5:52:50 PM
hmmm ok... now we already got most if not all of the Convert program ready... it needs polish and testing ...
-
peternieropnl
8/14/2011 5:53:01 PM
the current masterclaim ofcourse is an subset of the earlier convert
-
peternieropnl
8/14/2011 5:53:24 PM
so let me know when we can start test with that
-
M
8/14/2011 5:53:28 PM
yup
-
peternieropnl
8/17/2011 8:39:12 PM
* whispers * did you manage to include the unique id of an outfit in the outfit xml ?
-
M
8/17/2011 11:39:07 PM
no, not yet
-
peternieropnl
8/17/2011 11:39:40 PM
ok =)
-
M
8/23/2011 3:25:12 AM
Hey pete! Do you have a solution for the amicable support issue pertaining to HTA applications opening in notepad?
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 12:32:33 PM
i believe so
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 12:32:41 PM
i did send info to Saki on that
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 12:32:51 PM
let me paste it
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 12:39:05 PM
The issue is this:
A HTML Application is by default run by C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe
If opened with another application.. like notepad ...
then the danger exists to leave the default selected checkmark to "make this app the new default" on
This results that the HTA will just be opened.
There are two solutions. Either directly run it.. by specifing it as in the commandline. Like with WindowsKey + R to open Run
C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\SifuPeterTools\MasterClaim\MasterClaim.hta"
(notice the "" )
The second is to reset the default association again back to how it should be:
open the Run Box with WindowsKey + R .. or from Start > Run
cmd /k assoc .hta=htafile
that way it will work again with just clicking on it
-
M
8/23/2011 6:50:15 PM
brilliant! that's what we needed to finish most of the support mails
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 7:03:36 PM
good to hear.. say is there any eta for next level?
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 7:03:45 PM
as in when will the avatar page close
-
M
8/23/2011 7:05:32 PM
none yet, just had a breakthrough yesterday determining that the new OAuth authentication was SOAP encapsulated and they have us on a "Get it done real quick" kind-of schedule. I'm hoping we can finish up by this weekend, but i'm not completely sure yet
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 7:06:17 PM
* shakes head *
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 7:06:40 PM
what really is behind this new security stuff.. is it really going to improve anything.. or just cosmetic
-
M
8/23/2011 7:08:48 PM
just cosmetic
-
peternieropnl
8/23/2011 7:10:36 PM
* nods * yep.. that is what i suspected... unless RLC and you implement like domain trust relation or some kerberos oriented type of protocol ... things will remain a compilation of logins and matches
-
peternieropnl
9/7/2011 4:37:22 AM
say.... what is your view on the avatar page from RLC... the tranfer button...
-
M
9/7/2011 7:35:24 AM
i view it as a button?...not sure the question
-
peternieropnl
9/7/2011 8:13:41 AM
I ment... have a look at the code behind it... in my screen after using tranfer then the field that is tranfered to is editable. Which means if people use the tranfer button slightly clever then they can put in their own stuff... If that is all the security there is then we should be in trouble.
-
peternieropnl
9/7/2011 9:18:21 AM
hmm not sure what... seems no longer to function that way... forget the above
-
M
9/8/2011 11:40:24 AM
unsure about that, it seems that it still can be done. what's your method?
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:02:06 PM
the function can be invoked.. or more simple.. be rewritten... in essense the script adds the Utherverse / Outfit options in case it gets swapped
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:02:19 PM
while that at itself is a simple solution
-

it also opens up the road for others to just do the same...
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:04:19 PM
i obvious wanted to test the security... and at the moment it looks as if direct saving is essential faster and less trouble than sending changed outfits to you, after which you invoke soap to send it back to the avatar .. after which the page needs to be refreshed to reload and then stored with name
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:05:08 PM
obvious.. this at itself is not a theft.. after all a person does have the clothes.. does have the UCS items
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:05:48 PM
what is clear is that Utherverse does not love, understand, appreciate databases
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:07:17 PM
this should and could have been simple done in SQL stored procedure... to put it in javascript with little else as a disabled field and a script next to it to enable the field... i just do not get it... why that simple.. why assume that everyone is daft and incapable
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:08:12 PM
i was not particular looking to break in.. i hope to make some money with a tool.. which simplifies the cooperation between USC, avatar page and UVDeviant
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:10:54 PM
if i look at the moment at my tool... it does work with legal clothes.. it does work with the avatar page... unlike a much earlier tool which did read mails or allowed people to type in their own stuff.. this tool is much more closed
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:11:33 PM
I removed the edit features that where in the last UVD tool
-
peternieropnl
9/8/2011 1:12:31 PM
it just is simple tool to find, sort, combine, move around.

9/13/2011 7:06:41 PM

-
M
9/13/2011 7:10:33 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:10:46 PM
and... how about the inclusion of the masterclaimed items
-
M
9/13/2011 7:13:41 PM
unsure about that now, cause they are supposed to go into general wardrobe sometime, i think
-
M
9/13/2011 7:13:46 PM
gimmie sec, i'll find the page
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:14:01 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:14:11 PM
at the moment however they are on their own section
-
M
9/13/2011 7:14:34 PM
yah, they are on their own section
-
M
9/13/2011 7:14:48 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:15:13 PM

-
M
9/13/2011 7:18:33 PM
....there's another one?
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:18:47 PM
hmm no.. it simply is not fixed
-
M
9/13/2011 7:18:58 PM
the whole transfer thing?
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:02 PM
on the edit avi page?
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:19:07 PM
i ment the avatar page issue
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:19:12 PM
yes
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:21 PM
yah, we told uv about it, like, a week ago
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:28 PM
it's in their "list of things to fix" >.>
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:19:43 PM
it is scary
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:46 PM
maybe more, dunno
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:56 PM
yah, it's the illusion of security
-
M
9/13/2011 7:19:59 PM
brb
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:20:03 PM

-
M
9/13/2011 7:22:36 PM
ok, back
-
M
9/13/2011 7:22:45 PM
so, hopefully they will have that fixed before we move to next phase
-
M
9/13/2011 7:22:48 PM
which, we're unsure
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:23:02 PM
* nods *
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:23:32 PM
care to have a look at the local pc / offline version
-
M
9/13/2011 7:23:56 PM
i don't have an account to thouroughly test it with, but i could look at it
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:24:05 PM
i can screenshare
-
M
9/13/2011 7:24:28 PM
i'm currently on a call with N
-
M
9/13/2011 7:24:30 PM
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:24:35 PM
ok ok =)
-
M
9/13/2011 7:26:08 PM
just send it over, i'll perv it out
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:26:46 PM
ok... first... you agree that this is NOT to be disclosed to anyone besides you
-
M
9/13/2011 7:26:57 PM
ok, i agree
-
M
9/13/2011 7:27:08 PM
it just makes it more tastier to look at naw
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:27:08 PM
the current version uses the avatar page bug
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:27:41 PM
that is not the intention. .however it well demonstrates that others can do similar stuff
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:27:55 PM
i have not even sent this to any of my testers
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:28:27 PM
i just do not want to be somehow confused with hackers. .despite that the way to test security is very much about testing illegal stuff
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:28:35 PM
ok
-
M
9/13/2011 7:28:40 PM
of course
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:28:41 PM
File transfer:
Illegal.hta
-
M
9/13/2011 7:28:45 PM
LOL
-
M
9/13/2011 7:28:58 PM
that's not obvious at all
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:29:00 PM
it makes me not send it in error =)
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:29:14 PM
i can also give you the legal version
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:29:19 PM
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:29:31 PM
although that now misses a fair bit of functionality
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:29:38 PM
let me hear if you get stuck
-
M
9/13/2011 7:29:48 PM
File transfer:

File transfer:

-
M
9/13/2011 7:31:43 PM
on outfit.hta after logging in
-
M
9/13/2011 7:31:52 PM
it has taken me to the avatar page, and thus provides this error
-
M
9/13/2011 7:32:00 PM
or, not outfit...closet.hta
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:33:00 PM
that is always with test code. i was just busy with renaming... i like to condense code after it is finished.. so that causes a hickup
-
M
9/13/2011 7:33:11 PM
mmk, just giving ya what i got
-
M
9/13/2011 7:34:18 PM
File transfer:

After logging into uvdeviant,
-
M
9/13/2011 7:34:41 PM
when i wasn't logged in to start
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:36:01 PM
that is what why i contacted you earlier
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:36:12 PM
the page sp/outfit .. that seems to no longer load
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:36:19 PM
hence the question...
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:36:28 PM
see if you can screenshare for 5 minutes
-
M
9/13/2011 7:36:33 PM
well, my account is a basic account, and with that said, /sp/outfit doesn't load for it
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:36:36 PM
then i show you how it is supposed to look
-
M
9/13/2011 7:37:13 PM
let me try with a vip account here
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:37:24 PM
File transfer:
Illegal.hta
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:37:31 PM
ok. then let me give you the fix
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:37:48 PM
two variables had same name.. that is corrected
-
M
9/13/2011 7:38:19 PM
ah
-
M
9/13/2011 7:38:35 PM
yah, got same error with VIP account, and XML shows correctly on /sp/outfit for VIP account
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:39:10 PM
hmmm... i best check that for a minute
-
M
9/13/2011 7:39:54 PM
ok, in illegal, it reports
"Hmm, seems UVDeviant is down for the moment"
After user sucessfully logs in
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:40:23 PM
* nods * that is the reason i asked if the page is missing or changed...
-
M
9/13/2011 7:40:45 PM
it doesn't seem to be naviagating to that page on my screen
-
M
9/13/2011 7:40:53 PM
more like a refresh
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:41:20 PM

peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:42:36 PM

9/13/2011 7:49:36 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 7:56:56 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:00:28 PM
hmm
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:00:39 PM
pitty.. seems a nice snaptool
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:00:54 PM
it makes screenshots, cuts and resizes .. and links it to the image
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:01:15 PM
of course in the final edition it will be packaged in msi
-
M
9/13/2011 8:01:44 PM
yup, i read that in the instructions
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:13:29 PM
File transfer:
Illegal.hta
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:14:03 PM

-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:16:23 PM
hmmm
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:16:39 PM
not sure what you mean with applying
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:17:03 PM
the apply only runs when uploading.. it then deletes those that need to be deleted. and changes those that need to be changed
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:17:13 PM
also the apply works while reading the outfits...
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:17:32 PM
still.. hmm provided that you have a vip account you should have that on your screen
-
peternieropnl
9/13/2011 8:17:34 PM
i just run the code.. works fine here
-
M
9/13/2011 8:18:06 PM

Hey pete, sorry i haven't been around. I had tons of rewrite on the code since i found a site-wide bug, and i've been working on the new catalogue recently....it's been hell in a handbasket
-
peternieropnl
9/22/2011 9:21:18 AM
hmmmm ok... well i understand... that said... you do appreciate i love my tool to get online and selling =) .. could use the money. I have btw a version i think is mostly bugfree and works as intended... Trying to get it to work with the xmlhttp connection to RLC. That would at least hide the unlocking and further speed up the painful RLC link.
-
peternieropnl
10/9/2011 2:39:38 PM
M... look i like to hear what we plan next... i have... mostly based on the past cordial work together aimed my clothing tool to make it easier for you ... to make sales increase ... i think i have that tool that would simplify putting on clothes... the missing part is: saving. At the moment i earn nothing for all the hard work and that sounds not fair to me. I want to hear from you when or even if we go ahead solving the missing parts. I have been patient yet at the moment i feel siderailed.
-
M
10/11/2011 3:05:32 AM
Heya pete! I checked and wasn't sure if I had asked if you had recieved the monies from paypal earlier?
-
peternieropnl
10/11/2011 4:50:39 AM
Yes... i got paid for the MasterClaim tool... however what i ment in the previous message is the offline closet tool.. .the one allowing to put on clothes without swapping through multiple pages
-
peternieropnl
10/11/2011 4:53:18 AM
and for that tool to be legal i have to be able to send a combination of clothes which is then saved by you to RLC after which my tool saves the current under the desired name
-
peternieropnl
10/11/2011 4:53:56 AM
currently it simply takes off the disabled status of the edit boxes... which works.. however is illegal
-
peternieropnl
11/19/2011 2:55:21 AM
any ETA on when the interface is there?

say... quick question... a friend of mine was banned... she now can also no longer access her clothes... is there something like a way for her to move all her outfits to another account/closet?
-
M
4/14/2012 5:38:05 PM
banned from UV or UVD?
-
peternieropnl
4/14/2012 5:50:34 PM
oops. sorry .. missed your question.. banned from Utherverse
-
peternieropnl
4/14/2012 5:50:48 PM
as result also from UVD
-
M
4/14/2012 5:51:14 PM
Well, accounts that show up as "Cancelled" in UV are mimicked in UVD, it's checked on Login
-
peternieropnl
4/14/2012 5:51:27 PM
* nods *
-
M
4/14/2012 5:51:31 PM
so, yeah, just have her send in a mail to the support account and we can transfer easy
-
peternieropnl
4/14/2012 5:51:44 PM
ok will do that
-
M
4/14/2012 5:51:47 PM
there's qualifications on the account, and whomever fields the mail should be able to help 'em out
-
peternieropnl
4/14/2012 5:58:06 PM
ok.. will send a mail to support =) thanks.. and happy weekend
-
M
4/14/2012 5:58:16 PM
you too!
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:28:53 AM
* waves * evening. How are you?
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:29:45 AM
I got a call from a user of the closet tool... she no longer can see the images of the newly purchased stuff offline... can still see the old stuff
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:30:24 AM
i narrowed it down to a new behaviour... from the xml file i get the correct image that the designer made to showcase.. something like this
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:30:34 AM
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:30:52 AM
however different from the past.. when i open that i get this reply
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:30:58 AM
cannot determine image type
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:31:22 AM
browsing through your pages i noticed some additions to the similar pages... like
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:31:31 AM
&3D=true&NS=true
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:32:12 AM
is there any command or type which would allow me to continue to use the preview images as they where in the past...
-
M
5/13/2012 5:32:31 AM
PETE!
-
M
5/13/2012 5:32:37 AM
It's a url issue
-
M
5/13/2012 5:32:51 AM
About 2 months ago i changed the hosting for the catalogue images
-
M
5/13/2012 5:33:02 AM
so it's not
www.uvdeviant.com/~, it's img.uvdeviant.com/~
-
M
5/13/2012 5:33:07 AM
just gotta change the XML
-
M
5/13/2012 5:33:20 AM
Do you know where i put that at? the site url to download the xml?
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:33:23 AM
oooh ok.. no worry. can do that in here too. as long as i know what happens
-
M
5/13/2012 5:33:42 AM
well, it's in the xml, i can make the change real quick
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:33:47 AM
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:33:50 AM
=)
-
M
5/13/2012 5:33:54 AM
k, sec
-
M
5/13/2012 5:34:43 AM
k, should be done
-
M
5/13/2012 5:35:12 AM
the additional parameters are for the catalogue images to superimpose other images over them, such as the "3D", "new style", or....something else lol
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:36:01 AM
hmm was just digging in the pages =) and since most people still can see the old purchased stuff they had not yet reported it
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:36:53 AM
yup =) working again
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:36:58 AM
thank you
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:37:42 AM
how is things with UVD if i dare ask... seems RLC is picking up steam with UCS ... still is a drag though...
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:38:05 AM
i tried for 45 minutes to find a skin... in UCS... i gave up
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:38:15 AM
in that sense UVD has always been better
-
M
5/13/2012 5:38:32 AM
they are as expected
-
M
5/13/2012 5:38:40 AM
with UVD. competition has it's tolls
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:41:39 AM
realistic.. what you think will be the chance of getting that link finally legal... i spoke a few times with N .. i sort of got the idea that she did not want any further progress
-
M
5/13/2012 5:44:03 AM
which link?
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:44:47 AM
well currently when i save clothes changes in my tool i simply bypass the flimsy security of the avatar page
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:45:37 AM
believe original the idea to be that changes would be written back to you, then via that UVD~RLC connection applied to the database
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:46:28 AM
there still is a loyal group of ladies that have like 800 outfits.. and want a new hair...
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:47:01 AM
currently that is inconceivable to do... since it involves copy paste of 800 times some hair
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:47:33 AM
which also messes up the sequence of how they put the clothes in the closet
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:48:10 AM
my tool has always helped with exactly those large things... sorting closet... find and replace
-
M
5/13/2012 5:48:40 AM
ummm....i'm not sure of their progress in that
-
M
5/13/2012 5:49:13 AM
I think they are just focusing on their new client, and the idea of making things easier for consumer they leave up to third parties
-
M
5/13/2012 5:49:33 AM
we have asked for access to wardrobe
-
M
5/13/2012 5:49:39 AM
and they have not provided it
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 5:49:51 AM
yes... and since the client is now back to probably summer 2013...
-
M
5/13/2012 5:52:04 AM
-
peternieropnl
5/13/2012 6:00:07 AM
anyway... thanks for fixing... i think i will add icons to hta... recently added the ability to include them as mime objects... makes distribution issue much less
-
M
5/13/2012 6:09:07 AM
ok cool
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:03:13 PM
* waves enthousiastic * hi there
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:03:35 PM
say i got this PM... about the website.. anything i should or could tell ?
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:03:39 PM
Miss_Suzzy: Go to your list and select an outfit and click APPLY and a list of other items comes up the designer has but you can't do anything with it but go look at them. I can't apply anything.
-
M
9/28/2012 12:04:48 PM
yeah, i got that too, nobody's sent a screenie for me to see
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:05:25 PM
i have her on PM.. can she send it to you directly??
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:05:36 PM
as in what is your email..
-
M
9/28/2012 12:06:11 PM
does she have a photobucket?
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:07:16 PM
the message seem to say: More from the designer .. instead of apply
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:07:24 PM
she is going to make the screeny
-
M
9/28/2012 12:07:53 PM
ok
-
M
9/28/2012 12:08:09 PM
just added a catalogue tie-in to the wardrobe earlier, haven't heard any issues until recently
-
M
9/28/2012 12:09:16 PM
wait, if possible, can you ask if she uses Chrome?
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:12:06 PM
not using Chrome
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:12:32 PM
Firefox
-
M
9/28/2012 12:12:45 PM
Ok, i think i just duplicated the issue with Chrome, it was as simple as clearing the cache and it fixed the issue there
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:13:01 PM
clearing the cache? hmmm
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:13:10 PM
should i suggest that to her
-
M
9/28/2012 12:13:11 PM
yeah, for some reason it's not picking up on the changes
-
M
9/28/2012 12:13:14 PM
yes, please
-
peternieropnl
9/28/2012 12:21:15 PM
issue is solved with refresh
-
M
9/28/2012 12:22:13 PM
