turns out that there seems. or maybe you know better.. but there seems to be no easy way to not invoke the default xslt template

it is programmed in the dll

and as soon as it hits IE8 or 7 then the lovely xml gets put in all sorts of divs.. took me aages to hammer it back into xml

the real issue is the password etc.. as long as this is an hta it distributes and develops easy.. however it also means it is not wise to grab sensitive information

so i want to be sure that my original does not do anything with passwords or usernames

if that was not the case i could use the much more stable xmlhttp interface

that however demands both username password from you as well as RLC

well if RLC really wants to stop theft they would have very clear and obvious methods... the fact that they do not do it shows that they do not understand data much

oh and the UC trick is that without the session number the page does a check... the name can not contain a -

and all UC items do have that

the check itself is in the page

so with the save button it activates .. java script to tell that a - is not allowed in the name... as result the page will not save... and reverts back to the current outfit

and UC sends the entire page as post back using xhttp .. since they bypass the check there is no trouble with the name containing -

based on the above observation i could technical make a tool that bypasses the entire protection of UC ... however i dont want to do that... lets rather concentrate on what we can legal do to make more ppl enjoy clothing

UV isn't real quick on the responses to us, so we do lots of trail-and-error to get the results. the old-to-new conversion we've had to do b/c they don't provide us that

these are both the XML schemas for the old and new avatars. cut and dry, they are obsoleting the old ones for the new ones. new avatars can have upwards to 256 textures on their torsos or legs, and they have specific locations of the layers for specific "slots"

you cannot provide that schema to anyone else, just so you know

strictly internal information, and you get privy to it as UVD developmental contractor

there's a couple options, but down to brass tacks, all the code relating to the UV edit avatar page will basically be obsoleted

we shut down UVD because we were passed word from UV that they are obsoleting that page in light of this XML->server sync

the choice is entirely up to you on how to proceed. we have to create a closet system ourselves to allow users to sync with us now, but that doesn't mean that we can't endorse a client software (such as you've created) for offline usage

humans have this wonderful trouble... in tests it shows that ppl will be massive upset if someone takes 50 dollar half the time.. yet very few would bother about paying 50 bucks to win 100 dollar half the time

yet in principle it is the same... we hence rather not loose than miss an opportunity to gain

so for many whatever the new avatar brings is peanuts in comparison to what they loose

UV keeps us out of the loop until the last minute. This is the second time we've had to shut down the site because of last-minute "huge" modifications. It's typical of them, even after a year.

i would think norton would be the culprit. she's not an admin to her laptop, so norton might prevent a program from launching an IE object

she's got AVG AV, i'm not sure where norton came from. prolly from the standard programs installed when she bought it

heya peter! i had pulled my lower back last week and have been in bed since then. things are getting better so far with it, but it spasms like hell

- the authentication is forms based, but there is javascript that submits the users timezone as well.

- i could write a backend authenticator like you've asked, but for secuirty purposes i'd limit the quantity of login attempts to prevent someone from brute-force accessing other accounts

most have trouble that the IE i use as programmable background to read the outfits is caught by the IE version checker

I have most of the communication sorted. The search at the moment is to create a silverlight application that does parts of what i have done till now.

the requirement to use an other window browser makes it a bit complex. Besided... the first app i wrote with the click once... seems that norton does not allow that. So hence the move to silverlight. This has a few repercusions to what i am able to do at the client pc. Like i no longer can write in the documents folder. So i am trying to find an alternative for that.

Bottom line.. think all the components that we need in the conversion tool are done... just that the correct mix of easy install, elegant operation and avoidance of virus checkers and default browsers... that is still a few days testing

I'm modifying the convert.php file to be in 2 "programmatic" phases. It's basically an internal variable i'll set when we change this.

Phase 1 will not modify any users profile information, and will put into Masterclaim what we've detected should be there. Your programs output will help much with anything I miss

Phase 2 will modify users information when the program is run, and will still place items into masterclaim (etc etc)

also, i've changed the result from convert.php to simply be:

Instead of the full UV envelope since their authentication change will change the result of that. I'm not currently sure what it will be, so i'm just dummying it down to a simple XML response

The issue is this:

A HTML Application is by default run by C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe

If opened with another application.. like notepad ...

then the danger exists to leave the default selected checkmark to "make this app the new default" on

This results that the HTA will just be opened.

There are two solutions. Either directly run it.. by specifing it as in the commandline. Like with WindowsKey + R to open Run

C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\SifuPeterTools\MasterClaim\MasterClaim.hta"

(notice the "" )

The second is to reset the default association again back to how it should be:

open the Run Box with WindowsKey + R .. or from Start > Run

cmd /k assoc .hta=htafile

that way it will work again with just clicking on it

and for that tool to be legal i have to be able to send a combination of clothes which is then saved by you to RLC after which my tool saves the current under the desired name

currently it simply takes off the disabled status of the edit boxes... which works.. however is illegal

any ETA on when the interface is there?

Ok, i think i just duplicated the issue with Chrome, it was as simple as clearing the cache and it fixed the issue there
