Your application will basically have to determine if the Utherverse profile that's being "swapped" for outfits to wear matches the registered profile in UVDeviant. When a user logs in, we determine this by accessing their profile and grabbing their Utherverse name from the HTML <title></title> tags

i changed the xml structure a little... now more compact... seems that deleting has changed. For some reason it did not work well.. i just found out after a few hours debugging that RLC has the link name changed... into the same as apply... how daft is that

my tool does connect to the new sync page. As soon as M has time we need to handle the communication back and forward

ok, as of now the routine will convert the active outfit to master codes. I still have to get the rest of the routines to put items on the website queue for approval, but otherwise you should be able to plug everything into your routines, cycle through outfits to wear them, run the conversion, save, then increment

Hi guys, just want some update on the converter

I afraid we need to set a deadline for this project. As Utherverse are working on a new open authetication for the closet login, we need to get this program done before they do, so we can have time to rewrite it and not being chase by other deadline

All the parts work, yet to get the combination to work is not so easy

Let me explain: If i can get the passwords in my program -> easy to log in your site, avatar page... distribution via MSI or click once ... possible issue: virus checkers do not always like clickonce

Easy distribution would be using Flash or Silverlight... only i have been fighting the last 5 days with Silverlight to finally conclude that it is too well protected to even remote be able to use other browsers... even cross domain browsing.. between UVD and RLC is at best troublesome. So... lot of research.. yet no play on the Silverlight

If i write it in WSF... works well... trouble still in getting across to other browsers and allow log in without asking for the username password

Historic i did a fair bit of research on the Outfit tool.. and settled for the HTA method

It has all the advantages, only... installation and easy distribution is something that probably can be sorted with msi

I would go for logging in without username password, this Utherverse immediate change on the authentication obviously because a lot of users have voice their concern in typing their UV password on our website. I dont want to add more discomfort for them in using this program, which will create delay in the conversion

so... the silence is not absence of hard labour.. just trying to get the best mix of possibilities on your requirements

that said.. and M will no doubt have similar experiences... code is not always a straight home stretch... crossing the edge of what has been done before is always a little unpredictable

I hope you appreciate that in the world ... there are very few people who can sniff cookies, catch webpages and control things from within... simply because that is so well protected by the browsers.

still.. all components have been done in one or the other format

as in... several people have tried the new sorting tool

it succesfully reads, writes, checks all the outfits in whatever sequence is needed... so consider that part done... there are no secrets there

logging in from another webpage into your and RLC website... done... although i do safe the cookies...

the interpretation of messages back and forward between the tool and your website.. done.. mostly... might have to make a few adjustments

so effective we might need to just sync and see what happens

that would leave the distribution part.. which i think is best solved with the use of an MSI

and Peter, there is no disrespect on what you and M are doing. Although I am not a coder, but I watch M work and suffer, so I know it is hard. But we don't have the luxury of time now and I still need a date to bargain with Utherverse

it will detect if there is a cookie and use that

on my pc it gives a current list of all my outfits in less than a second

it does NOT save the xml file... although i could do that

i flattened and tuned the reading process... i tried for 2 days to work with flash, which is much less easy on DOM.. so it is tuned to read very quick

the Wardrobe will lead to UVD

again it will detect if a user has logged in.. and if a user is also logged in RLC using the Beta closet

so... if i click the Wardrobe it opens my info in less than a second

so now we need to communicate between the two apps really...

no, not yet...been quite busy with the current wardrobe

well... lets put it mildly this way... the security is flimsy

well... i looked at the code... and a few months back i wrote a tester to see if clothes from USC could be moved to other outfits

the current method is obvious clumsy... transfer stuff to a #clothing system# and then having to go through all sorts of hoops to be able to mix and match

it took me less than an hour to have no issue with moving items from the #clothing sytem# outfit directly only outer outfits

and although i have not made a tester... from first look it appears... however that still has to be proven... it appears that nothing is changed

the worry part is this... i might not be mister avarage... that said.. there are other kids out there with a keen eye on how to loop the system

clearly we best silently as possible ask Utherverse how they will deal with that

well, when it comes i'm sure it'll be hell
