yes. i'm currently working on locking down the user module, and i've drafted out the single sign-on from uvdeviant to the drupal login.... all on version 6, too

basically, all user actions should be accessible via UVDeviant (signup, registration), but admin functions should be retained, etc etc

beware that some module may add to profiles

yah, i see that...been rackin' my brain w/ the drupal docs so much i think i grew about 2cm of hair on my head

guess that's why i can't keep it shaved...

i suppose once i think i'm done i'll really be 50% complete. i'm just keepin' my changes under control of a script-wide constant now to see where and how it impacts. basically trial and error. the real test will be in the nummy sandbox

I though first that that bridge could be modified so it can be a 3 way UVD-PhPbb-Drupal

phpbb and drupal use phpsessions, so i just have to build in correct variables and user-creation routines and i'm good to go

I'll convert the paper to 6 straight, we'll add the phpBB bridge once the rest works

I am a bit doubt full we can save the paper user, might as well use the UVD user base, but we'll have to figure what we do with older articles

the user base i'm sure i have covered.

basically, once i get a copy of the drupal DB i'll run a match search for email addresses between both

if there is a match on email addresses, i'll have the UVD user tie to the drupal user

It's cool if you use the UT ID# to uniquely ID them

on UVD login, i'll automatically have them logged into the paper

same idea for the phpbb, i'll have to write the autologin for that too

the phpBB bridge, i fear, will duplicate the drupal user data to the phpBB area

in effect, user information will be decentralized from UVD which is not what i'd like to do

user management through drupal is still good, just new user creation will have to happen for UVD for me to keep the application links together
