I woke up one morning with a thought about the quantity of ancestors I would have if I walk back to Jesus times. Assuming I go back 30 generations there should be close to 1 billion ancestors of mine. This has to be some kind of paradox since I’m certain 1 billion human souls weren’t alive in the yonder of 0-39AD. I decided to work the opposite way and ask myself “How many human beings would it take that, if all were buried in the ground at the end of their happy life it would make the United States a complete graveyard?”. I expanded this though to wonder at what year that would occur, too.

Goodbye Yellow Brick 2024…
A song recorded and released May 1973 came into a resurgence almost 10 years ago by Sara Bareilles with her amazing rendition. Sang recently at the NEXT / Kennedy Center for the 2024 Near Years Eve celebration.
There’s been many other things that find their finality in 2024, and for once I’m glad closure was invented for many of these.

Over the years whenever I have a pending question I typically consult with the one true book of user-engorged world knowledge: Wikipedia.
Some things are just too awesome to keep around as tidbits of knowledge.

Numerical Nuptuals
I’ve been known for knowing when things have some rhythm or pattern to them.
#1 was 10/23/04 to 7/8/9, all unnaturally sequential in the sense of m/d/y
#2 was 1/15/14 to 2/29/16, the leap year Divorce, a 1:1461 chance every 4 years. And yes, there is also the “15 minus 1 equals 14” equation, too, but I believe that’s a pick-and-choose.
now, #3, occurring on 3/11/17, is all riddled with primes:
- 3, 11, 17 are all prime numbers
- The combinations of 311, 113, and 1117 are prime numbers as well.
- albeit 31117 is not prime (29 2 • 37, the m/d/y format), 11317 is prime in the ordered set of d/m/y
The “prime” wedding, to say the least.
