A song recorded and released May 1973 came into a resurgence almost 10 years ago by Sara Bareilles with her amazing rendition. Sang recently at the NEXT / Kennedy Center for the 2024 Near Years Eve celebration.
There’s been many other things that find their finality in 2024, and for once I’m glad closure was invented for many of these.
Metalocalypse

[src] Originally a 3-season series between 2006 and 2010 I was living in a now torn-down 105 when I came across this delectable dance of the ears. I had dated a Sarah Marie Abbey/Butman/Koterass and watched the first two seasons with her until she had a seizure. I had listened to both Albums that were created from the series as I travelled for years around the world.
The series ended up leaving many, many questions and it wasn’t until The Doomstar Requiem that there was hope of completion. That hope, however, waned until the actual release of The Army of the Doomstar in 2023. It wasn’t until early 2024 I got to order/watch this and finally be completed with the “Song of Salvation”.

[src] I was introduced to a series about two people that fell in love hundreds of miles apart while dating my second wife and we were cohabitating in London, UK with our mutual friend/coworker Stavros Nicolaou. We all fell in love with the Billericay/Barry pair from 2007 to 2010 and after 3 seasons seemed to end with the only question of “What happened during the fishing trip?”.
Fast forward to a Christmas special in 2019 that sets up a cliffhanger ending of “Will You Marry Me?” and still teasing the “fishing trip” it wasn’t until 2024’s Christmas Special and 90 minutes later that all of our questions are finally answered…
…except for that fishing trip…
Deadpool

[src] The movie debuted in 2016. I probably went to the theater and brought people to this viewing more than I should’ve, but that’s how we created memories. At the time I felt that if there should be a sequel that it should contain Wolverine, but I felt that the character that played it really didn’t want for further typecast himself into his 50th “wolverine” movie.
The sequel dropped perfectly in 2018 alongside Avengers: Infinity War where Josh Brolin had to juggle 2 Antihero’s perfectly.
2024 made the perfect completion of this Trilogy with all the necessary Cameos, new characters, and geek squeals. Nothing more, nothing less.
Employment
I was hired in August of 2013, rehired in April 2014 and my position was obsoleted in October 2024. I was provided 10 weeks of severance and medical. The difficulty now is finding another position in this industry that’ll last another 10 years and begin to take me into retirement without having to approach independent employment again.
